Chair – Henning Wagner

Henning has studied Economics (Diploma) and was Managing Director of an international raw material trading company with offices world wide. He was involved in the developing of the German recycling schemes, before getting engaged in contract catering and online businesses. Henning is the key holder for the Historic Benholm Kirk and a Trustee of KDP (Kincardine Development Partnership)

Vice Chair – Emma Pollock

Emma manages a 600 acre arable farm together with her husband and has a BSc in Agriculture with Forestry and NC in Countryside Skills for Recreation and Leisure. Emma has been a seasonal Countryside Ranger for the National Trust at Crathes Castle and a Community Farm Links Officer. Emma is the Secretary for the Johnshaven Horticultural Society.

Secretary – Mary McCaffrey

Mary worked in the finance industry for over 35 years, in branch management for approx. 15 years. She retired to Aberdeenshire from Falkirk area in 2021 with her husband, dogs, cat and rescue hens. As a keen gardener Mary volunteered with MCHLN (Mearns Coastal Healthy Living Network) gardening group at the Mill of Benholm and is now leading the Mill of Benholm Gardening Group very successful.

Treasurer – John Maxwell

John has a background in offshore shipping, being a board member and Managing Director of the Aberdeen branch of a large Norwegian offshore vessel company for 18 years before retiring, working in total 28 years for this company. John was a non-executive board member of Peterhead Port Authority for 9 years and held the position as Deputy Convenor. John was as well on the Advisory Board for the Aberdeen Maritime Museum. Furthermore John is a member of the Johnshaven Village Hall Committee and the Johnshaven Fish Festival.

Minute Secretary – Sally Leavey

Sally studied the diverse ethnology of Scotland at the School of Scottish Studies combined that with Scottish History and Literature and graduated with a M.A. Sally has an interest in arts and crafts and an abiding love of songs, stories and music.

Hannah McGregor

Hannah works as a Pupil Support Assistant at the Johnshaven Primary School after serving as a Deck Officer for 9 years in the Royal Fleet Auxiliary. Hannah has got a 1st Class Hon Degree in Marine Operations Management and is currently making her MSc in Shipping Operations. Hannah is a keen runner and the Secretary of the St Cyrus Solo’s Running Group.

Dr Alexis Roberts-McIntosh

Alexis has a background in medical chemistry and has worked as a senior executive in many countries around the world in the healthcare industry. She continues to be a Board Member and Commercial Champion for a number of healthcare start ups in Scotland, and is the CEO of a Swedish healthcare company.  She is a volunteer at the Johnshaven and Benholm Heritage Society, a member of Arbuthnott Community Development Group  and the Johnshaven and Benholm RNLI Fundraising Committee.  She is passionate about supporting access to health and wellbeing for the Mearns community.  

Mirjam Morris

Mirjam is a resident of Benholm since 2006 where she lives with her family. She is a mum of 2 boys, a dog and four rescue hens. Mirjam has graduated with a BEd in Primary teaching and works currently as an Early Years Practitioner in a local Primary school. She is also a Tropic Skincare Ambassador and passionate about chemical free living. Mirjam enjoys theatre, reading, walking with her dog and adventures with her boys.
